FAQ
Common questions
How do I earn equity?
Each role is split into milestones. You submit the work, the founders review it against the definition of done, and the equity for that milestone is recorded as earned when they approve it.
Can I change the terms before I join?
Yes. When you propose to join, you can edit milestone titles, dates and the equity per milestone. The founders see your counter-offer next to their original proposal.
What is an agreement?
A structured template that lists the scope, milestones, equity and approval process. Both parties review it and sign it before work starts.
Does Covest give legal or tax advice?
No. Covest provides agreement templates and milestone tracking. Both parties should review agreements independently, and with their own advisors where needed.
What if a milestone is not approved?
The founders can request changes. You update the work and submit it again. The milestone stays open until it meets the agreed definition of done.
